One part of our research looks into how, in the future, we can get rid of overproduction by replacing objects in our house with projections. The question is of course: What needs to tangible and what can be projected? A chair for instance cannot be thrown away and replaced by a projection. The reason is obvious; you can’t sit on a projection. But what about the appearance of the chair? Can we mimic the physical property’s of a famous design chair using the cheapest materials and simplest production methods and still experience the chair as ‘’real’’ by mapping a model over the chair with the use of mixed reality.
